What are liposomes?

Liposomes are small, functional spheres with a bilayer lipid membrane, which are formed at Galex-lab from high-quality, GMO-free sunflower lecithin with more than 97% phospholipids. Due to their biocompatibility and biodegradability, they represent a safe, effective and modern means of delivering active substances.

Their structure allows for dual functionality:

  • the lipid membrane effectively encapsulates lipophilic (water-insoluble) components,
  • The watery interior protects and transports hydrophilic (water-soluble) active ingredients.

Thus, liposomes can reliably carry a wide range of bioactive molecules, regardless of their solubility.
